Another high-caliber executive was recently added to the management roster of ITU Ventures this July. Last July 11, ITU Ventures Managing Partner Chad Brownstein formally announced that Rick Franz, former Vice President of Technology and Planning for QLogic Corporation, has joined the company as Executive in Residence.

According to Chad Brownstein, Mr. Franz's extensive experience in the storage industry will afford ITU Ventures a unique insight into new and revolutionary investment opportunities. Mr. Franz will be focusing on identifying and pursuing opportunities in new media-storage technologies and solutions.

While at QLogic, Rick Franz was responsible for development and execution of corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and industry research. It was also during his tenure at QLogic that the company's annual revenue grew from $68M in fiscal 1996 to $589M in fiscal 2007.

Mr. Franz graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with majors in Economics and Computer Science.

The entire ITU Ventures family welcomes Rick Franz on board.
